The Simlar uses four elements in three groups in a compact Tessar or Elmar-type arrangement. It is a collapsible standard lens for Leotax rangefinders.

History

Unprefixed Simlar engravings occur before the coated C Simlar period and again after the C prefix was dropped around 1951. This generic profile covers that production evolution; later examples commonly use a rational aperture scale and a 5cm marking.

Handling

Minimum focus is approximately 3.5 ft, or 1.07 m. The chrome collapsible barrel accepts A36 clamp-on accessories and retracts for compact transport.

Compatibility
