This Leica 35mm Summicron 8-element (L39, screw mount) shows signs of average use, with some light scuffs and bright marks on the chrome finish. The optics are very clean for its age, with only minor fine dust inside the lens and very light haze visible under strong light, but no significant fungus or scratches. Mechanically, the focusing action is smooth, the infinity lock engages with a precise click, and the aperture ring operates flawlessly with positive, well-defined stops—performing as well as it did when new."

Only around five hundred L39 versions were produced, making them far rarer than the M-mount version.
