Leica 90/2 Summicron 2nd version M lens was made in 1972 Cat#11122 (Circa 1959-1979)

The second version of the Summicron 90mm f2 lens, which retained the same optical design, was distinguishable from the first version for its completely redesigned mounting,for its removable optical group and for its built in telescopic hood. Other characteristics were: rectilinear focusing,clicks at half stops and distance scale in both meters and feet. In the 20 years that it remained in production,the body of this second version of the Summicron 90mm underwent numerous modification regarding,in particular, the focusing and diaphragm rings, The entire production comes from Canada.
