The Leica M EV1 combines the traditional values of the M-System with the advantages of an integrated electronic viewfinder (EVF). The dioptre compensation and practical focus assists facilitate precise manual focusing – in particular when using the fast Leica Summilux and Noctilux lenses at very shallow depths of field, as well as with ultra wide-angle, telephoto and macro lenses.

The classical focal length of 28 mm gives a wide, natural field of view to your photographs, making this model so popular among street and reportage photographers. This new high-speed lens is the most compact of Leica M-Lenses. The use of an aspherical element has made it possible to attain top imaging performance with a weight of only 180 g (6 oz). This lens is virtually distortion-free down to the close focus range of 0.7 m and only protrudes slightly into the viewfinder field of M-Cameras.
