Minolta 35 Model F
The Minolta 35 Model F is a modest 1952 revision of Model E. It retains the LTM mount, approximately 24 x 34 mm image area, 0.7x combined rangefinder/viewfinder, hinged back, self timer and cloth shutter reaching 1/500 second [1].
Externally, Model F changes the flash connector and adds red numbered markings behind the self-timer control. The connector remains a non-PC type, and reliable exact synchronization speeds are not documented [1].
History
Development and Launch
Model F appeared in 1952. It is sometimes described as a domestic-market revision, but surviving English-language instructions show that export documentation existed [1].
Production Evolution
Observed body numbers run approximately from 2139x to 2539x. Its shutter cover, film guides and camera back largely continue the Model E construction [1].
Special Variants
No separately named special version is documented. Connector and marking differences define the normal Model F.
Collector Notes
Differentiate Model F from Model E through its engraved name, red self-timer markings and revised rear sync socket. Original manuals can be misleading because much of the Model E text and imagery was reused.
