Minolta 35 Model C
The Minolta 35 Model C is a collector-classified 1948 development of Minolta's LTM rangefinder. It retains the die-cast body, hinged back, self timer and cloth shutter to 1/500 second, but increases finder magnification from 0.33x to 0.7x [1].
The image area grew to approximately 24 x 33 mm, and film transport changed to eight perforations per exposure. This restored the normal 36-frame count and spacing compatible with standard cutting equipment [1].

Model C appeared in 1948. The name is a retrospective collector classification, because the camera itself was still sold simply as Minolta 35 [1].
Production Evolution
Type a occupies observed serials around 400x to 480x. Type b, around 513x to 860x, reoriented the slow-speed numerals so they could be read from the photographer's position [1].

Types a and b are normal production stages, not special editions.
Collector Notes
Confirm the C.K.S. maker engraving, 24 x 33 mm gate and absence of the strap lugs added on Model D. The central shoe contact is proprietary and should not be assumed compatible with modern flash equipment.
