I'm Thomas, and I run Leica Lens List. These terms cover how you can use the site. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who runs this site

Leica Lens List is operated by Elated. Software Development, a company registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK number 87157969). When these terms say "I", "we" or "us", that is who they mean. Dutch law applies to these terms and to your use of the site.

What Leica Lens List is

It's an independent reference for Leica M and screw-mount (LTM) gear. You can browse the lens database, compare lenses, follow used prices in the price tracker, read the blog, use the lens recommender, report or search for stolen gear, and talk in the lounge. The site is free to use, and the core of it always will be.

Your account

You don't need an account to browse, but some features (posting, reporting stolen gear, saving things) need one.

• Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.
• Your account is yours alone. Keep your password safe and don't share your login. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person, and don't impersonate anyone else.
• You can delete your account at any time. I can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used to abuse the site or other people.

Things you post

Some features let you add content: lounge posts, comments, stolen-gear reports, shop details and so on. You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it, you give me permission to show, store and share it on the site so the feature works.

When you post something, you confirm that:

• It is yours to share, and sharing it doesn't break anyone else's rights.
• It is not illegal, hateful, harassing, misleading or spam.
• Any stolen-gear report is truthful. Please don't file a false report.

I can edit or remove anything that breaks these rules, and you can ask me to take down something you posted.

Prices and the price tracker

Every night the site pulls listings from third-party shops and marketplaces and matches them to the right lens or camera. Those prices are there to give you a feel for the market. They are not offers, and I am not the seller. I do my best to keep them accurate, but I can't guarantee any price, condition grade, or that an item is still available. Always check the actual shop before you buy.

Affiliate links

Some links to shops are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That never changes how things are ranked or what I say about them. No shop can pay to rank higher or to hide an honest opinion.

Other shops and links

I list and link to a lot of third-party shops and sites. I can't vouch for all of them, and I am not responsible for their content, their stock, their service, or anything that happens between you and them. Do your own homework: check reviews, returns and warranty before you buy.

The site's own content

The text, design, data and images I create are mine (Elated. Software Development's). You are welcome to use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, scrape, republish or build another product out of it without asking me first.

No warranty, and limits on liability

I build this site with care, but it is provided "as is", without any warranty. I can't promise it will always be accurate, complete, or available without interruptions. To the extent Dutch law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its information, or dealing with a shop you found through it.

Changes

The site changes often, and so might these terms. When they do, I'll update this page. If you keep using the site afterwards, you are accepting the new version.
